EDUCATE , SUPPORT & CURE

The Pillars of our foundation include Advisorys,Survivors,Voulunteers and a Medical Panel who dedicate themselves towards one Mission - Educate,Support and Cure .

A survey across European countries came up with a result that about 80% of women were aware of breast cancer whereas only 40% of men knew about prostate cancer. In India this is much less. And it is believed that prostate cancer in India is likely to be doubled by 2026. It is the 2nd leading cancer in cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and Pune amongst men.The bad news is that the symptoms of prostate cancer are ignored as they are thought to be normal part of aging.Global Prostate Cancer Foundation is a charitable organization founded to bring in awareness about prostate cancer amongst the public and to help early detection and treatment as it is potentially curable in early stages.Prostate Cancer develops due to the changes in the hormone system and alterations in the genes. Around 65 to 75% of men will not have any symptoms of this cancer during the early stages. However it is a fact that there is lack of awareness about this cancer among the public. To overcome this situation and to get the information to the public,

Dr Raghunath S.K & Col C A Aiyappa have taken on themselves this ambitious and challenging charitable task. It is to bring the awareness in public and to help in detection of the cancer at an early stage. Prostate cancer can be detected through blood test PSA- Prostate Specific Antigen and physical examination of the prostate. The good news is that an early detection of this cancer is potentially curable. .
